Abstract Submission

There are two options for submission. Authors are given the flexibility to choose their preferred submission:

Submission for presentation and publication

Submission for presentation and publication - Participants are required to submit 3-4 pages *extended abstract. The extended abstract will be published in the Scopus index Conference Proceedings of "Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering" by Springer. An abstract must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx only) format through our online submission system by 20 May 2023. A Microsoft Word template from Springer can be downloaded below to help in the preparation of the abstract.

**All authors should be aware that an abstract will be rejected without any further consideration if it is found that there is an in-compliance with the Springer typesetting format (including references).

Submission for
presentation only

Participants are required to submit a short abstract up to 200 words. The short abstract will not be published. An abstract must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx only) format through our online submission system by 20 May 2023. A Microsoft Word template can be downloaded below to help in the preparation of the abstract.

Authors may use www.quillbot.com or any other available tools for grammar checking and paraphrasing the sentences to avoid plagiarism.

Presentation

All authors with accepted extended or short abstracts are required to present their research findings through ORAL presentations.

Twenty (20) presenters with the best presentation will be awarded the “ICE-SEAM 2023 Best Presentation Award"

GUIDELINES

The presentation will be conducted in face-to-face mode. International participants may choose to present their work virtually.
Presentation is only 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A session (total of 15 minutes).
The presentation file should be in PPT or PDF format.

OPTIONAL

FULL PAPER SUBMISSION

The authors with accepted extended or short abstracts are encouraged to submit their optional full paper for possible publication in our supporting journals indexed by SCOPUS/WoS at NO additional fee. Papers submitted will go through the standard peer-review managed by the journal’s editors and appear in either regular or special issues as they are accepted and ready for publication. Papers are accepted based on their quality. The deadline for full paper submission is 31 August 2023.

Please follow the instructions below before submitting the manuscript:

Please refer to the journal's aims and scope to ensure that the submitted papers are appropriate for the journal's audience.
The manuscript needs to be improved based on input from the extended abstract review process, a rule of thumb is that at least 40% of the content should be new and expanded.
To avoid plagiarism, the original title and content of the extended abstract should be modified and rephrased. The rule of thumb is that the similarity index is must be less than 20%.
To ensure that your manuscript is of significant interest to the journal audience, Editor kindly ask you to include/cite at least 1 or more relevant paper recently (2022-2023) published in the chosen journal.
Authors are advised to indicate that their works have initially been accepted and presented at the ICE-SEAM 2023, in the "Acknowledgements" section of their manuscripts and in the 'cover letter' or 'note to the editor'.
